We’re stoked to be up and running on Bandcamp.com!
Click here to go to our profile where you can now download all the songs from our first two EP’s, Epic Code and Swiftest of the Big Jungle Cats absolutely free! The cool thing about Bandcamp is that you can download the files in a variety of formats, from the humblest mp3 right up to lossless audio quality. It’s like they saw right into the heart of the average obsessive-compulsive music lover!
Just a reminder, limited edition vinyl copies of SOTBJC can still be had at InSound, and Epic Code CD’s are available at CDBaby.
“Amigos” and “Connie” are in the process of being finalized. Stay tuned!

It’s been a somewhat unexpectedly long journey, but the songs are mixed at last! Jeff Lewis put his usual deft touches on the “Amigos” and “Connie” mixes on Thursday night, and they are both rockin’, but in very different ways. Stay tuned for more updates…

Tracking is now 99.9% complete on our new songs, “Amigos” and “Connie.” They’ve really taken shape!
Our gratitude to last night’s ace session man, Cliff Kane, who came in and really put his stamp on “Amigos.” Cliff is a signature part of the Paperplanes‘ sound, and is hands down the finest pedal steel player in Long Beach. He’s been kind enough to sit in with us on a couple of shows in the past, and we’re especially glad to have finally got him on a track!
After Cliff took his leave, Eric’s trusty Juno synthesizer got a workout as we pushed “Connie” into kraut-y new places. Dunno how it will turn out in the end, but it’s going to sound BIG.
Next up: mixing!
